Self-Defense

Self-Defense draws on techniques from a wide variety of martial arts and combat sports (such as Kung Fu, Judo, kickboxing, and Jiu-Jitsu), combining them with exercises designed to build and maintain basic fitness and realistic self-defense skills.

A class typically consists of two elements and is offered exclusively for children’s training (ages 5 to 12):

  • Physical exercises, gymnastics, and techniques—performed alone or with a training partner—with increasing complexity and the use of protective gear, up to and including free sparring. (Participation in sparring is voluntary.)
  • Realistic self-defense, consisting of techniques that can be learned through play, mental attitude (self-assertion), and the legal foundations of self-defense

Special attention is paid to presenting the content in a child-friendly manner.
